You've watched the Foundation Team play Imposter Disc Golf, so get ready to see what the DGM Team can do! Think you’ve got what it takes to outplay, outwit, and outlast? The Basket Bandit League is here to challenge your disc golf skills and your powers of observation. This isn’t just another tournament—it’s a 2 day, 3 course event full of twists, teamwork, and sabotage.
What Is the Basket Bandit League?
Players will compete in disc golf challenges to try to add cash to the prize pot. These challenges will vary but will be typical disc golf games that we're all familiar with. But there’s a catch: one player is secretly the Basket Bandit, working behind the scenes to sabotage the group’s efforts. The bandit will act like a wolf in sheep's clothing and try to ruin challenges at every turn.
How It Works:
Disc Golf Challenges: Compete in a mix of team and individual challenges to grow the prize pot.
The Bandit: One player is randomly chosen as the Bandit, whose goal is to sabotage the group without being detected.
Elimination Rounds: After each challenge, players will rank their guesses on who they think the Bandit is. The player with the lowest quiz score may be eliminated and join the Chase Card.
The Chase Card: Eliminated players aren’t out of the game completely! They’ll form the Chase Card, competing in challenges to sabotage the lead card and influence key moments in the game.
Who Will Win?
The game culminates in a final challenge and quiz where the remaining players must identify the Bandit. The player with the highest score—and the best read on the Bandit—will walk away the champion!
Event Details:
📅 Date: January 10th & Jan 11th.
📍 Location: We'll be starting at Blendon Woods but we'll be moving to other courses in the area. Expect to be playing between 9-4pm each day with a break for lunch.
💰 Entry Fee: $50 per player
🎯 What’s at Stake: Depending on how well the group plays & how successful the Bandit is, expect that first place will receive a cash payment of around $300, well depending on how successful the bandit is. Additional prizes of gift cards and discs will be awarded throughout the event.
